RSS

RSS stands for ‘Really Simple Syndication’

It is a really simple way to get your content out there and noticed on the web.

RSS
The process starts when you:

  • submit your RSS feed to RSS search engines
  • who make it available to other webmasters
  • and visitors who want to subscribe to your feed

Now… we wait. This is as far as you want to go until you have had your site indexed by Google.

Doing the Social Bookmarking, Pinging and RSS submissions as described should get your post or pages indexed fast.

To check if your site is indexed by Google

  • type site:http://yournewdomain.TLD/ into Google’s search window (no spaces!)
  • If your site is indexed, you will see a list of the pages that Google knows about

If there is a delay of more than a few days, confirm your WordPress privacy settings and repeat the Social Bookmarking and Pinging steps.

When your site has been successfully indexed, wait about 30-45 days to see where your pages settle in the SERPs, then do additional off-Page SEO as needed.

Proceed to the Monetization and Marketing Phases only when your indexing has been accomplished.

For now, you will only want to read over the next steps and start preparing the necessary materials. DO NOT publish them before their time.

In the meanwhile, review your  Social Media accounts. This is a good time to create your Facebook Fanpage. Then it’s time to move on to Driving Traffic. We need lots and lots of hungry, hungry hippos.
